All journeys begin with a first step. Are you ready to take it?
Step One
Call us at 416-748-9988 or Email: help@caritas.ca
Step Two
Attend our Tuesday Evening Inquiry Group that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and requires no appointment.
These meetings are held every Tuesday at the Centre from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Join us to find out if our program is right for you. Bring yourself, and others that want to be part of your recovery. Others may be parents, spouse, sibling(s) or friend(s). All are welcome as they are part of your support group.
After attending an Inquiry Group meeting, and decided you want to be part of the Caritas Therapeutic Community, a personal interview will be arranged and conducted. This interview will be private and remain confidential and consist of routine questions after which you will be provided with a checklist of what you need to do before entering the program.
If you live out of town or province, a phone interview may be arranged for admission to be processed at an outreach level. Call: 416-748-9988 ext. 103.
Step Three
Once the assessment has been completed, you will be directed to attain a medical note indicating fitness to begin the Caritas program. Also required is admittance at a detoxification centre, as needed. This step is important and in the best interests of your well-being. Caritas is not a medical facility and not equipped to deal with possible withdrawal symptoms. Once the stay is complete and given medical clearance to begin your involvement with Caritas, you will come straight into the program.
Step Four
The final step. Are you ready? Tell us you are serious and ready to walk where hundreds of other men have walked before you and that you want a chance for a better a life!
You are now ready to join the Caritas Therapeutic Community. Congratulations!
We know the decision to make this commitment will be challenging. We also know that should you decide to continue with your recovery at the most difficult times, it will become easier and you will begin to understand the process. Those who continue through to 25 months have proven to be our most successful graduates!
Admission to Caritas is voluntary for men over the age of sixteen (consideration for those under this age has been made in special circumstances).
